Anastassia Olmos, Stassi for short
Anastassia is an award-winning investigative journalist with Atlanta News First Investigates, specializing in accountability, consumer, and wide-impact reporting. She is recognized for translating complex investigations into clear, audience-focused journalism across broadcast, digital, and social platforms, and for using social media as a powerful tool to reach, inform, and engage communities. She also shoots and edits most of her reports.
Since joining Atlanta News First in 2024, Olmos has led investigations exposing systemic issues affecting homeowners, renters, seniors, consumers, and families at risk of financial harm. Her “HOA Nightmares” series uncovered alleged HOA abuses and accountability gaps impacting Georgia homeowners, helping build momentum for statewide reform. The series earned a regional Edward R. Murrow Award, Atlanta Press Club honors, and a Southeast Regional Emmy nomination.
Before Atlanta, Olmos reported in major markets including Los Angeles, Tampa, and Nashville. Her investigations covered Florida’s property insurance crisis, the Murdaugh boat crash, the Nashville Christmas Day bombing, and protests in Los Angeles.
A Los Angeles native, Olmos earned degrees from the University of Southern California and Columbia Journalism School and is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
